A wonderful pair of playful vintage brooches made in a shape of two winking cats. The brooches are 14k gold with gemstones. One of the brooches has a plaque carrying WB hallmark for Weinman Brothers, the second brooch does not have the plaque with WB but the workmanship is virtually identical on both pieces and each carries an identical maker's scratch mark so we are attributing both pieces to Weinman Brothers. There are very slight variations between the two cats, one has whiskers that curve slightly upward and other straight, gemstones representing the nose are also different. Beautiful gold wire-work and workmanship. These brooches are whimsical and fun
