+Description: - An Edwardian period 15ct yellow gold opal cabochon and seed pearl pendant brooch.
The pendant brooch is hallmarked with the Australian marks of the the period. It is stamped with an Anchor punch, which was the maker's mark for Duggin Shappere & Co of Melbourne; "15" denoting that the brooch is made from 15 carat gold; and the Hanging fleece punch mark stating the item is 15 carat gold fineness.
Date: - Circa 1905.
Measurement: - 4.4 cm (height including bale) x 3.3 cm (length) x 1.0cm (depth).
Weight: - 10.4 grams.
Condition: - The opal cabochon is in good condition. The seed pearls are well matched in terms of colour. Brooch pin and clasp both work perfectly. Please note the pearls are untested and unwarranted for natural pearls. Gemstone treatment: unknown. Please see photos for confirmation of condition.
